Her family enjoys time together doing activities such as hiking, board games, and traveling.

Her prior experience includes teaching with Hamblen County Schools for over 16 years and then teaching at All Saints Episcopal School for 2 years before starting her own adventure into homeschooling. She has taught 1st and 2nd grade in the normal classroom setting plus middle school art. In her teaching career she has taken part in a variety of educational activities. She designed the 1st grade ELA curriculum for Hamblen County Schools, Tier 2 and Tier 3 Reading Intervention services for struggling readers. She was involved in BETA, FCA, a member of the school’s Literature Committee and Summer Reading & Outreach Program, and Drama club to name a few. She provided supplementary art instruction for students as the Art Club leader and coordinator for art days at her school and acted as a team leader offering support to her peers, while teaching with Hamblen County. Randi also served as her school’s representative for the Crayola Art Team and helped in developing the school improvement plan multiple years. She also supported her district through acting as a mentor teacher to multiple student teachers and thoroughly enjoyed team teaching with coworkers. She currently homeschools her own kids but still helps others through her private tutoring service and teaching co-op classes in Morristown.

Art, is one of Randi’s passions, and she considers herself to be a lifelong learner that believes art can help enhance learning in all subject areas. She believes that education should be hands-on, immersive, and authentic, while also rich in sound curriculum. She is excited to be a part of the Freedom Christian Academy family as an instructor. She plans to continue in her community outreach efforts through offering coursework, tutoring, and enrichment for students of all ages throughout East Tennessee.
