Jake Stanley is a devoted husband, father, and community member whose life is centered around faith, family, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors. Married to his loving wife, Tara, for 14 years, Jake is the proud father of two beautiful daughters. The Stanley family resides in the picturesque foothills of the Smoky Mountains, where they are surrounded by the tranquility and natural beauty of their surroundings. While they now call this serene place home, both Jake and Tara are natives of the Tri-Cities area, where their roots run deep.

Jake’s story begins in the rural town of Mendota, Virginia, where he was raised on a farm. His childhood was shaped by hard work on the farm, outdoor adventures like hiking and biking, and a deep connection to the land. Those formative years spent outdoors instilled in Jake a love for nature and the simple pleasures of life. Whether it was tending to animals, exploring the mountains, or cultivating the land, Jake learned the value of patience, dedication, and hard work—qualities that have remained central to his character throughout his life.

One of Jake’s greatest passions is gardening. He finds immense joy in growing plants and flowers, especially in creating beautiful gardens for his wife, Tara, to enjoy. For Jake, gardening is much more than just a hobby; it’s a way of expressing love and care. His gardens reflect his commitment to bringing beauty into his home and to providing his family with spaces that uplift their spirits. Jake's' family has been the recipient of many lovingly tended gardens, and they have become a cherished part of their family life.

Jake is an alumnus of East Tennessee State University, where he studied sociology. His education helped shape his understanding of human relationships and community dynamics, which has served him well both personally and professionally. For the past 35 years, Jake has worked at Cracker Barrel, where he now serves as a manager. His long tenure at the company is a testament to his dedication, hard work, and commitment to serving others. Throughout his career, Jake has built lasting relationships with his colleagues and customers, all while embodying the values of respect, integrity, and hospitality that are at the core of Cracker Barrel’s mission.

In addition to his career, Jake has been an active and committed member of Freedom Fellowship since 2012. His faith is a cornerstone of his life, and he has faithfully served within the church community his whole life. Not only has Jake contributed to various ministries, but he has also been a pillar of support for his wife, Tara, who is in full-time ministry. Jake’s unwavering support of their family's calling has been a key element in both their personal and spiritual journeys. He understands the demands of ministry and stands by her side as she serves others, providing encouragement and strength behind the scenes.

Jake’s life is a beautiful balance of work, faith and love for family. Whether he’s managing at Cracker Barrel, tending to his gardens, or serving alongside Tara in ministry, Jake approaches each aspect of his life with purpose and dedication. He is a living example of what it means to prioritize what matters most—family, faith, and community. Through his actions, Jake continues to inspire those around him, showing that a life rooted in faith and love can create a lasting impact on those who are fortunate enough to know him.
