Kimber Callen, her husband, Thomas, and their children (Copeland, Eleanor, and Roman) are originally from MS where she graduated from Belhaven University with a degree in Elementary Education. She then began her teaching career in MS public schools for 4 years teaching grades 1st and 3rd. After those years she taught for 6 years at a classical, university model school in grades 4th and 5th. After moving to East Tennessee in 2022, Kimber began homeschooling her children full-time while also earning her Master’s degree in Education: Curriculum and Instruction through the online program at the University of Southern Mississippi.

While she enjoys being home with her kids, Kimber also loves being in the classroom! Her favorite thing about teaching is being able to teach each child according to their needs and gifts and through that, helping them see how loved they are by their Creator and Savior. She believes that education is truly an open door for being transformed by the gospel. 

On any free day, you could find her at the soccor field, on a trail, reading a book, or hosting friends for good food and fellowship. She and her family have been members of Lakeway Presbyterian Church in Morristown, a beautufl church family that has felt like home, since 2022. 

Kimber is honored to serve as a Cross-Disciplinary Instructor at Freedom Christian Acdaemy.
